Hello Im not actually a club member but i hope to be soon when i get a bit of money together. So im going to start at the begining i bought it when i was 16 to give me a bit of time to work on it before i started to learn to drive and passed, I got it from the other club mag from an old boy in dudley for £600 and after a set of new wings it looked like this.
Then i went and got some paint matched, changed a rear wing and set about trying to get the paintwork a little neater, it is better now but by no means perfect. Also i filled some dints and repaired some of the worst areas of rot on the bottom of the doors other mechanical things were sorted out as well ready to use it as my every day car and by this time it looked a little like this.
at this stage i passed my test and living in wales and going to school in leeds ment it had to take the long voyage up north and it did it without a problem. While in yorkshire the odd thing went wrong but it wasnt too much hassel. Once home again i had some spare bits knocking around so started to play around with the look of the car slightly, I added bullet mirrors off my days 3500s and his old rostyles as he now has sd1 wheels.
painted the centres again and bolted them on.
hmm Ive missed something here, at some point between trying the wheels and fitting them I changed the engine after cracking a piston and bought a pretty knackered v8 valance off ebay welded up all the undesirable holes and welded the corners on which i had to make as it didnt have any when it arriver, then filled and painted it and did simular with the rear valance .
missed some bits but ill leave it their untill later.
Hope you enjoy it.
