Hello fellow Rover enthusiasts and those refuse to let go of the past (as per myself).
Summer will soon be upon us, or so I have been told. And the time seems right to get rid of my Monte Carlo Webasto, and replace it with a sold roof so I can bake inside my car like a proper 1970's era motorist.
Actually the real reason is that I couldn't stand the noise it made at speed, the previous owner screwed it on himself (badly), and it was leaking into the passenger compartment and the sills until I covered it in duct tape and bubble wrap. Had to drain my sills out, but no big deal, thanks to Waxoyl, my sills are still mint! I know, I looked inside with a fibre-optic camera. I never actually had it open during the summer, because contrary to what you may think, sitting in traffic the sun bears down on you and cooks you. The triplex sundym glass actually did and does a phenomenal job of keeping the inside of the car relatively cool. Most of the heat came through the firewall anyway, due to V8ness.
Anyway... Should any of you have a sold roof for sale, I would be very keen to buy it off you.
Now I am off to read the for sale side, as I am a counter intuitive imbecile and didn't think to do it before writing this.
