Rover P6 Solid Roof (1974 Series II V8 Auto)

:hmm: Well excuse my lack of knowledge, but still, a 2000TC series I with air con and all the features mentioned would be pretty cool, and exceptionally rare. They make several mentions of AC in the P6 development video, yet I have never actually seen any P6s with factory AC. Perhaps they were fitted with AC mainly for the export market.

I have the factory a/c. I ticked it on the Dealer order form way back in '72. I ordered my P6 whilst living in Western Australia [Perth]

Very nice! Of course you would need that A/C in Australia, I hear it's rather warm over there, and there is always the possibility of football sized spiders entering your vehicle, or being punched in the face by a kangaroo while waiting at a stop sign if you happen to have the window open. :p Or so I have been told.

But I am still left to wonder if any 4 cylinder factory A/C cars survived.. :hmm: I should do more digging.

Different unit, different setup. The original heater box is still in place, with an additional unit inside the cabin

Well that is interesting. Haphazard, but not totally unexpected. I guess the first question that comes to mind is, how do I listen to the Bee Gees while running down Just Stop Oil protesters?

Edit: I just realised that my post regarding me looking to purchase a solid roof for my P6, has gone totally off track. I wonder where this will go next. :hmm: And will I find someone willing to sell me a roof panel. o_O

The radio is mounted in the drivers' side glovebox

Oh that's quite alright. Nice to have a bit of a distraction from an otherwise miserable life.

Got that worthless London mayor pushing his ULEZ scheme, C40 15 minute cities, demented politicians trying to push for the abolition of cars, sheeple being told to scream their allegiance to king WEF sausage fingers, nurse strikes, transport strikes, a prime minister that was installed, £10million a day of taxpayers money being spent keeping the detritus that washes up on the shores of Dover in hotels, now the prospect of spending over a £100million of taxpayers money building new homes for these people and just giving them to them, TFL "redeveloping" their railway arches resulting in hundreds of businesses being destroyed to make way for trendy coffee shops.

I could go on. But getting distracted by old cars is pretty damn spiffing. Soon as I have my P6 properly back on the road, I'm getting in it and buggering off to Spain. Sick and tired of watching lumbering drug addicts out the window.

Social life in ol'blitey doesn't sound too different to what happening here in NZ. Rich avoid taxes and the bottom feeders get the $s for being stupid, and everyone is embracing wokeness.

How is it different ? Haven't seen an a/c unit on a 4cyl

Thats probably because the car that has it is still sitting at the green light hoping to get forward motion with that whacking great A/C loading it.

You are welcome to drive mine with the a/c on . It still pulls off school boys in BMW's at the lights

Oh it's terrible, and getting worse. You can physically see it in the streets. The mentally deficient and the religious fanatics are in top form!

Got imported needle pumpers heating up their teaspoon casseroles in the phone boxes at the end of the road most nights. Most of the shops on the high street have closed down, couple are now places of worship, others have crates and clothing strewn all over the floor with someone screaming into a microphone in a foreign language outside. Was followed by religious fanatics and given a translated copy of the Koran outside WHSmith. And a few nights ago I was woken up around 2AM to the sound of howling and screaming. Went upstairs, pulled back the curtains to discover a man in the middle of the road, on all fours barking like a dog, howling and screaming.
