What wheels ?? :x Weeeeeeelll the saga continues  Tim rang last week to advise they were definatly in the states & was hoping cragar will ship them for delivery this week, so I'm praying/hoping they will be with me this week or at latest tuesday 3rd! Mean while in the bast cave...I do hope they arrive soon as I have sold the 'S' Wheel trims on ebay! what with different colour front end panels I'll need something to brighten up the cars looks!

Re: P6 V8 project: Winter work/rust repair etc

Tantalizing... You've made some great progress and the inner wings are looking good. I reckon you'll be dancing around the garage the day the wheels arrive!

Like a whirling dervish perhaps?

Re: P6 V8 project: Winter work/rust repair etc

Re: P6 V8 project: Alloy wheels fitted! time for bodywork

As requested! There on! I love em 8) 8) a tad wider than expexted but I can live with it  7x15 is the smallest width available in the style but its what I wanted! bit of fettling on both rear wing arch lips, I can hear you all thinking..Jesus its a tight in there! so far no rubbing on the D-posts, may do a bit more modifiying to make sure though.
So there you go, love em, hate em or not sure but hey its different! At least it detracts from the rust free but mulicoloured wings Ive just fitted! Hopefully have a some spare cash for paint!

Re: P6 V8 project: Alloy wheels fitted! time for bodywork

They'll really come into their own when the paint's done 8)

Re: P6 V8 project: Alloy wheels fitted! time for bodywork

Those wheels look great. A greAt style to suit the p6

Re: P6 V8 project: Alloy wheels fitted! time for bodywork

Agreed..they look really great!!

Very aggressive styling really suits the Rover.

Have to say..I want a set too now.. 8)

Ron.

Re: P6 V8 project: Alloy wheels fitted! time for bodywork

Very impressed, they really suit the look of the P6. Have you had to modify the body much to get them to fit?

Re: P6 V8 project: Alloy wheels fitted! time for bodywork

I like the look! But the paint job is going to have to be something special to set them off. The violent metallic orange /bronze of that custom P6 in Australia would suit....

Make very sure you've really earholed it around a few roundabouts with several sacks of potatoes in the boot before you pronounce the clearance issues resolved at the back!

Re: P6 V8 project: Alloy wheels fitted! time for bodywork

Nah... they look rubbish, I'll do you a favour and take them off your hands for you though

In all seriousness, they look cracking, hope they spur you on that extra bit to get the car finished (not that you've been hanging about anyway!). Can't wait to see it all done now.

Re: P6 V8 project: Alloy wheels fitted! time for bodywork

Yes, very nice .I think that's because at a distance they have a similarity to the "s" wheel trim
