Hi Guys, last four coats on the doors now, while they harden off I've started on the sill covers, both taken back to bare metal, bung holes welded up with metal disc, filled over with good old bondo!, prime tomorrow nite hopefully, pics as norm :wink:

Hi guys, Well I've been itching since I sprayed the front wings last year in July
, so close now, first few coats of red on the sill covers, will lay on several more tomorrow eve. Should hopefully start wet sanding the doors on thursday eve ready for final mop & polish, 8)

One door polished & nealry finished being put back together, very pleased with finish, a few ripples that I didnt see when filling/ primaring but hey ho I'll live with it :wink: My Ginger Tomcat called Pitstop likes to pop in & be the quality engineer, normally around feeding time!

Here's the little tiger we rescued from our street in Athens.
His name is Laranjinha, brasilian portuguese slang for "little orange".
Currently sporting a kind of 'back mohican' from where he's been shaved for an operation!

At last its all painted and back together! am very pleased with it has taken about 10 months with a two panels at a time & a whole lot of paint n spray dust,
A few bits n pieces to sort, have corrected the N/S rear wing trim so it lines up with the door trim, need to give it a good wash & may go over the boot n rear wings with some G10 polish as the doors came up a treat giving a real deep shine, but hey with a good wash n dry it'l look good.
As you can see my child sense of humour has made it way to the C-pillar with an Autobot transforma's badge/logo, just to annoy the pursits really but I like it!, gotta do the o/s pillar to match.
Have greased & check tightened the front wheel bearings, there was a bit of play in both...ooops, so just now to fit new carpets when funds permit...summer shows here I come 8)

Looking really good Damian, can't wait to see some more pics in the sunshine
The welded up jacking point holes look perfect and is what i'll be doing also.
I like the subtle touch on the d post, it is a custom afterall..And will be taking on a new character now that you've finished
Love the red lights/red paint combination too

Thanks for your comments, Jim, great shot of your ginger moggy! my mate who is not on this forum but runs an awsome 3rd gen 5 ltr V8 IROC convertable Chevy Camaro thought the pics were brilliant ! ( it really is a stunning car, lots of suitable mods but retains the factory look, well apart from a decent lowering job) 8)
Yep still a fair few thiings on the list to do, new carpet, lower front suspension joints, fix pulling front brakes, really pi55ing me off after fitting two new front calipers,, but anyways, car is getting there!
I think the mods are just enough for what I wanted it to look like, the 'Autobot ' logo was a last minute idea, I quite like them as there not to obvious, a bit of fun,
Yeh Dave will get some good shots in the sun, myself & the girlfriend are off to the Valley Gas Speed shop this Saturday for the beer n chilli nite, complete with burlesque dancers & a rocker billy band, so I'll be given the car a good clean n polish ready for the cruze down to Andover 8)
