Re: P6 V8 project: Alloy wheels fitted, 2 doors left to paint !
LOL, the AA sticker looks older than the car Dave, kind of like it to be honest, its like a sticker of yesteryear, almost saying this belongs on this typ of car, so I may leave it on to keep the purists happy  now if it was an AA badge stuck on the grill then it would have been removed straight away, call me picky but I hate tow bars, AA, RAC grill badegs, extra fog lights, mud flaps & boot mounted spare wheels on these cars, yes I know these were all standard options when these cars were new but to me they look like too much clutter in my opinion, nothing to do with me likeing hot rods or amercian muscle cars of course, I guess I wanted to give the P6 a british muscle car look & loose the Grandad/pub landlord image witha a few suitable changes with a tiny hint of hotrod thrown for good measure 8)
I think I've kinda acheived the look, needs an inch removed from the front, narrow tires & a few extra HP's under the bonnet then I can look at a B & M quick shifter, I reckon you & Richard must have looked at my imaginary 'my modifing Rover P6 list' as pretty much on the same wave length, now I was tempted to drop in a SMB Ford 302ci n auto box or the legendary SMB chevy 350ci but a good friend advised keep the Rover block and modify it to keep the cars roots.
So if I ever sold it then I'd be tempted by a 1972-1973 Dodge Charger, ultimatly a 69 Dodge Charger 440 RT would be like a lotto win but I dont have £35k spare..Laters Damo
