My 3500 V8 project.

I have bought a big operation manual, but i think that is not the problem also i have maked a lot of pictures and i have this forum :D
The only thing i am affraid is the electrical wires, a lot of wires are not original.

Unfortunately that dark blue P6 is NOT my car :(

But I very much like the complete look (colour, tinted glass, Rostyles, all that chrome.....) - she is a BEAUTIE :D

My God! It's beautiful! I wish mine looked like that. Webasto, Rostyles, touring kit, foglamps, it's very sexy. And the colour is perfect.

Sandblasted more parts, sprayed in epoxycoating and resprayed it.
Overhaul the steering pump.
Fueltank is removed.
Readdy for lifting out the motor, but i have not the lifting tool, i can borrow it later, thats the way i sandblasted some motorparts.

The Jag colour is close to Rover Admiralty blue, so it might be :)

Oooh! A 420, nice! I've had one of those, a 1969 (G) m/od in Gunmetal with red leather. Considering how heavy they are that was one fast car.

Imagine, then, the results of a modernisation... Eagle-supplied Escort Cossie 5-speed g/box, 4.7-litre all-ally fuel-injected engine (300ishbhp, 400ishftlbs), modern suspension based on the current XK...

I must admit to having a soft spot for the 420. It's easily the best-looking of all the variants of that chassis - Mk1, Mk2, S-type, 420... I'd have the 420 any day. I'll also have a modernised SIII (with SII chrome bumpers) to go with it, ta.

Some pictures from the project.

Hello Hans. Your engine is looking good!
Are you going to fit a 'warm air collector' to the right hand exhaust manifold? I see in the second, larger, engine photo that you have retained two 'special bolts' to fit the right side exhaust manifold (looking from the front of the engine). Three of these bolts, with a long hex section and threaded to accept a second, smaller bolt, are used on the US-export 'NADA 3500S' cars. They attach the 'warm air collector' on the other side of the engine, which rises through a flexible hose to the air filter cannister.
I am missing two of these bolts! If you are not going to be fitting the NADA air filter unit with warm/cold air mixture, would you like to sell me those two 'special bolts'?
