When the car was home i started directly disassembly the car.
Now i have only the body with wheels and the motor is still in it
To do: disassembly the exhaust, the cardan, gearbox and the motor.
Also the fuel and brake pipes?? sorry i work 27 years at an American company but i can not speak and write verry well English.
When i finnished the disassemly the body goes to the sandblaster and after that welding the bad pieces.
At a dutch site you can see my car at video, the site is http://www.smink.nl than under P6.
All Rover fan good luck with your car.
Hans

Welcome Hans!

That's a fine looking P6B you have...wish the Tobacco Leaf on mine had looked that good. Might not have been getting rid of it now! :)

Personally Stan, although I agree that Tobacco Leaf may not be the best of P6 colours, I think you should keep it, and I think that once it's all in new paint you'll be surprised at just how good it will look .

Welcome Hans, glad you've decided to join us here.

This is the color i want after restauration, i hope to make my car in showroom condition.

I've nearly done my own cars in P5 Admiralty blue a few times over the years. Especially with the Rostyles to match 8)

I'd agree if it had still been in Tobacco Leaf Harvey. Although not my favourite colour I've nothing against it at all, but the only vestige left on OCY was the bonnet...the rest was Caramac. So the car needed a respray anyway, hence I'm going for a colour I like a bit more than Tobacco Leaf.

Loving that blue, Hans! :)

Cheers,

Is that Admiralty? Didn't recognise it on a P6. I was thinking it was metallic though perhaps not.

Looks like it but there are various colours close to it from other marques :)

PS Don't tell my Mrs if I'm wrong, it would be the first time since she met me

Just removed the radiator, the first thing i do today : cleaning the workshop.
Some pics. for you to see.
Kind regards: Hans

I agree with Chris,

I'm pretty sure that blue p6 you're aspiring to, is Rudiger Wicke's car. Its a nice looking car, though I don't know of any more photos of it.

Hans I hope you remember where all the parts go when you reassemble it!! you might have a few boxes of parts left over when finished :D
