I'll see how i get on and let you know! I'm not an experienced welder so i'm coming at it as a newbie. If it seems I can do it I will... If you're in a hurry though you'd be better with the jrwadhams items ( doubtless their's will look more professional too!).

Then it's just a case of welding them onto the car in the correct position...

Rich.

Currently my money pit is nearly empty, so we're trying to get a MOT with the bumpstops worked away and painted black, like it's supposed to be like that... :)

I have a few pics of Sparky's bump stops

I have a load more with measurements somewhere - will dig them out if anyone needs them

I might take you up on that... For now I've kept hold of the rusted carcasses of bump stop mounts and i'm hoping i can get what i need from that! I'll let you know :)

Thanks a lot!

Rich

No problem Rich - let me know.

I took them for someone (Can't remember who now) who was going to make himself a pair.

Dropped of the new stainless steel exhaust part yesterday, what a beautiful big lump of steel it is... :D (I'm sorry, I didn't take any pictures)

The car needs welding in two really small places which simply hasn't been done yet, because of another car on the bridge. After that the new exhaust part needs to be fitted, I need to install the interior again so I can get her a fresh MOT. 8)

Look what my father managed to get a hold of:

It's complete! Original box, original speaker, original bits and pieces to install it, original instruction books... :D :D :D

Besides that the car is almost MOT-ready; all the welding has been done and looks amazing. The only thing left to do now is fix some really minor indicator and light problems on the rear end.

That stereo looks great! As do the sills... all nearly there! :)

I've not got round to starting on the bump stop mounts yet... Will let you know when i do try/succeed or fail and share info etc! If i do it, I could send you a set of templates in cardboard or something? That way it's just a case of cutting out and welding it together?

Rich.

That's a useful classic radio as it has FM / VHF - is it stereo ?

I have no idea if it's stereo or not. The radio doesn't really matter that much since I never listen to it... I'm thrilled it's made suitable for my iPod. 8) 8) 8)
