I'll do my best, I'm near Gloucester so it's only down the road. We seem to be having a debate with some friends about whether the weekend of the 14th/15th is "this weekend" or "next weekend" at the moment, we'll see who wins.

:)

Is this the new way to fit a headlining - lay it on the car, fit the roof panel and trim to suit? :D

Nice work so far though.

Re: My 1968 S1V8P6Bs Refreshtoration,Refurb work nearly finished

Front done, just bonnet nose trim,V8 badge and wipe/wash bits to fit.
Rear done,just badges to fit!
Will do the roof in the morning, along with all interior trim that had to come out!
I am leaving the overriders off for now,to see how I like its looks without them!

It looks great without them, trust me. More so on a series one. I caught a reflection of mine in a shop window earlier and thought "Ooh, that loooks nice without the overriders".

Failed again on the Pub thing, by the way...

Re: My 1968 S1V8P6Bs Refreshtoration,Refurb work nearly finished

That is looking amazing... I have to be honest when I say that the beefy V8 needs the beefy overriders fitted! It's your car though so whatevver you say goes...

Re: My 1968 S1V8P6Bs Refreshtoration,Refurb work nearly finished

Roof and 1/4 panels all now on and screwed down.
A cuppa and a sarnie, then wash my hands thoroughly, find my white gloves, and I can start on fitting the headlining!

Re: My 1968 S1V8P6Bs Refreshtoration,Refurb work nearly finished

Bonnet nose trim,headlining all done.
Just a few more int trim bits in the morning!.
Get the new dunlops put on the rostyles and its all but done!
Badges will be put on at the show,as I need to get some fixings.

Re: My 1968 S1V8P6Bs Refreshtoration,Refurb work nearly finished

Got the rostyles and new Dunlop SP Sport 195/70x14 "thought they were 185's! ",out of their dark storage space,"The spare bog".!
Gave them a quick clean up,and the wheels will polish up great tomorrow, with a little touch in or 2 of matt black.
Now to try and find the triple plate Gorilla wheelnuts I got from the USA in the spare bedroom stash! :?

Re: My 1968 S1V8P6Bs Refreshtoration,Refurb work nearly finished

The only things left to do are fit the inner door trims, badges, and give it a good clean, and a coat of good quality polish/wax,which I will do at Shepton Mallet this weekend. :D :D :D
Still need to buy a few odd bits, and fixings like s/s screws, washers etc,to finish off the sills etc.
Anyone attending the show wanting to have a chat, will see my mobile number on the car!
If I am not about,call me,but I will be there for lunch,say 12-2!

Re: My 1968 S1V8P6B.The Refreshtoration is 99% finished!!

That's looking really sharp and the chrome rostyles are the finishing touch - well done.

Looks lovely, I am not overly keen on rostyles on arden green. wires would set it off a treat but still smart.

I would put the overiders back on.

Cracking job alround.

As my facebook page says!
Cars come,cars go,what comes next,you never know!
I will be looking for projects to recomission, restore and sell on now as 3 keepers is really my limit!
Unless I buy a big barn in a small field, and live in a winnebago!
