hi harvey p6. my car was originally an auto so are you saying tunnel is wider.It should bolt to the engine OK, but I can see there being clearance issues around the overdrive in the transmission tunnel, particularly on 3500S cars because the manual box is pretty short, and the tunnel narrows. I should think that the gearlever would be in a different position as well. The LT77/R380 is a proven conversion.....

thank you. that explains why i cannot get to the gearbox filler plug through the hole in the tunnel if they are different.The auto tunnel is wider than the manual up to the rear of the gearbox, after that they are the same AFAIK.
i have one on the passenger side. when you remove the bung all you can get to is the prop boltsThe auto had an access for the rear band adjuster on the driver's side (RHD), the manual box filler access is on the passenger side.
