Its a sneaky shade of Royal Blue, that's black in low light, blue normally and slightly purple on a sunny day.........

BTW how was the exhaust and gearbox?

Gearbox was quiet as a church mouse...... which means I can hear the slight tickle from the manifold joint of the exhaust and the drone off the diff

Hey ho - thats oily...... I'll sort it

'Ron' looks fantastic!, very moody with that dark 'coat' on  . That colour looks great with the rostyles, front foglamps and overrider/underrider combo 8)

Well I think it's now established that P6's look really, really good in Dark Blue! And Ron's new wheels set things off to perfection!

What actual shade of Blue is it? P5 Admiralty Blue?

Chris

Hi Chris,

Thanks, its actually a foreign colour
Renault Royal Blue, with a black base coat to give it a bit more depth - which also seems to make it change colour depending on the light!

I'm very pleased with it and as it was a lovely evening I went for a drive........ And a handful of pictures in the sunshine....... Have a couple 8) (Excuse the grubby sill  )

Now I get to spend the next few weeks scrubbing polishing compound out of all the nooks and crannies

whats on the sill? :D and whats your plans for it next?

Hmmmmmm, thanks for that :? The streaky bit is cutting compound which needs cleaning off.... The big blobby bits are the jacking point bungs, totally mashed up with various colors of paint and rotten

So future plans:
Replace jacking point bungs !!!
Clean everywhere...... That cutting compound gets everywhere
Replace front seats (got 'em, just need to colour them)
Adjust doors & various panel gaps.
Re-bush the rear end...... He's mighty squirmy on his new boots
Check diff & dedion tube oil levels
Fit tacho/pod malarky (got it tucked away)
'NADA'fy the centre console
Major tidy up under the bonnet (including inner wing patch, rocker cover leak, satin black inner wings.
Try a pair of speakers under the front seats
Fit new screen aerial.

Now THOSE are just the jobs that I have most of the bits for!!!!!!! After that, cental locking deffo, maybe power windows...... And one day a clutch!! (only when the time comes though!)
Give me some time and I'll write a proper list :?
But my main next step is to just drrrrriiiiiive the wheels off him 8)

Hi again

Another job off the list.
Some time ago I bought this steering wheel..... Not perfect, but not bad for the price!

Today, as I can't get hold of a centre cap for less than a kings ransom.......... I spent a fiver

Not brilliant....... But not bad for a work in progress 8)

Do I spy a Peugeot gti gear knob Jim???

Nope, you spy a solid aluminium ball, which has travelled in all my cars for the last 25 years....... the badge has changed occasionally.... But it's an heirloom and my one concession to the God of tacky

Nice charm looks to have faired well,

Now I know why you dont smile much being an old MOD

Re: A new name and a new Mot!.... More jobs done!

Well, today I have mostly been proving that my rear d-posts are not as solid as they look

All the tub and everywhere else is excellent (now) but the bottom edges just did notenjoy being jacked out for the tyre clearance problems. Much crunching and cracking later, both sides have given up and have cracks and holes, where they didn't bend, they just moved out of the way

Enough of that.... Car still looks lovely, still runs lovely and needs a dose of the welder when I've finished driving him 8)
So, on to the toys.... I finally got around to sorting and wiring this
