Just a point..you may (or may not) get a problem at MOT time (or before) with the silver on black number plates. AFAIK they're OK for registrations up to December 1972.

Isn't it for vehicles 'constructed' prior to 01 01 73 not 'registered', i.e. tax exempt vehicles
