1965 2000 SC rolling resto (or not so rolling)

Well done. Just shows what you can achieve with basic tools and a lot of determination. I think the red roof and quarter panel over white sounds like a good combo for a custom paint job. The red roof should compliment the interior very nicely. Ruediger's site has some paint code info - E.g. Venetion Red is listed as a 60's colour along with standard White:-

I like white with a red roof, but I'm not sure about doing the 1/4 panels as well. Perhaps roll it out for a viewing before you paint the 1/4's?

As to actual colours, the softest white is the origial '63 White. I think I might go for the next hardest - Davos White. Any of the other whites are too stark for an S1. For the red I'd have Venetian Red - or Brigase Red if you really want it to stand out.

As an alternative, what about April Yellow - a very pale colour indeed and looks stunning on an S1. Again with a Venetian Red roof or perhaps Wedgewood Blue?

Lots of scope for the missus to spend time with the colour charts on Rudiger's page! I expect someone on here can probably manage to photoshop the options for you as well!

Abi playing on photo shop is what led to her wanting he red roof as she altered it in photoshop and liked the effect. I wanted to keep the same white as I have already sprayed the a,b and c posts the original colour as I have been repairing them. I have been using rattle cans from Halfords but they had no paint code just the name Rover White which happened to be a perfect match. Rattle cans are good for localised repairs but not for whole panels.
