Dear all
I have a pair of Lucas Square 8's which I would lie to fit to my 2200SC. I have the brackets but how do you wire it all up.
Any advice gratefully received.
Best regards

Dear all
After suffering a blow out on the M1 last may, which destroyed the battery, battery box and rear wing, I have not started the engine since.
I want to re-commission the car ready for the summer but I am unsure as to what to do prior to starting the engine.
I do not want to cause...
Dear all
I was wondering if anyone could help me. My rear tyre shredded on Sunday evening destroying the battery box, battery and severely damaging the rear wing. Does anyone have a good driver's side rear wing with good almond paint they would like to sell?
Many thanks in advance
Russ
Hi there
I have a 2200SC and was told by many people that the sc head was hard enough to use unleaded without an additive. After a few months the power seemed to drop off dramatically to a point where it used to struggle up the smallest of hills. The problem was traced to incorrect valve...

Hi all
In reply to my earlier message, the valve seatings were indeed damaged or recessed, I can't remember which, due to running on unleaded without an additive. I was told by many people when I bought my car that the 2200sc head was hard enough to accept unleaded without an additive. At the...

I have a 2200sc and I had a very similar problem to that you are describing. It would really slow down on the hills and on the flat it would reach a top speed of around 65mph (when the problem was at its worst) and acceleration was poor in 3rd and 4th.
I was also advised to check dash...

Hi there
There used to be a V8 auto parked round the back of the garage in the centre of Stockton on the Forest near York, it may still be there.
I was interested a couple of years ago but he wanted £700 quid for it!
The bumpers are good, bodywork a bit tatty but the inside looked very good...
Hi all
I am in the process of fitting my front and rear mudflaps and would like advice on the correct fitting as I didn't receive any instructions with them. It looks fairly straightforward but just wanted to check if there was a right way and a wrong way.
Many thanks in anticipation.

Hi all
The story so far. I picked up the car today after having the head replaced by Richard at Viking Restorations in Leeds.
All I have to say is V8's beware! I now have so much power I don't know what to do with it! What a difference!
A big thank you to Richard at Viking for his help...

Hi there!
Can anyone help? I am looking to fit a period radio to my late 1975 2200SC but I am unsure as to which radio would be authentic or did Rover fit a selection from different manufacturers?
Many thanks

Gents
After taking my car in today to viking at leeds initial diagnosis has revealed that it will be a head off job. My tappet clearances on the all exhaust valves are a big fat zero when they should be 13/1000 of an inch. Worst case scenario is a new head with the problem more than likely...

Many thanks for all of your replies.
I will be taking my car to Viking Restorations in Leeds next week to try and find the problem so I will pass on your feedback and let you know how I get on.
Thanks again

Hi all
I am at my wits end and nobody can seem to find my problem.
I have no power in 4th gear on my 2200sc. The highest speed I can get up to is 70 on the flat with my foot to the floor and it takes its time to get there. Even on a slight incline the speed begins to decrease but it seems...
