Noticed the oil pressure would not go above 25 and started tothink the worst
On further inspection also noticed needle was just catching against face of dial at 25 - it was too brittle to adjust - i would have broke it
(I had changed a dash bulb and not fitted facia back correctly - Dohhh)...

The cut does seem different and i see what you mean with the extra fold.
if it was me I would fit all straight parts to sill and take knife to the extra fold - joining it back together with double sided carpet tape ?
but if you are like me once you have the product you want to fit it not send...
Fitting the carpet was relativley easy a few cuts and trims here and there. I had both glove boxes out so i could gain access easily

I cheated as needs must
I was using a passengers backrest in the drivers sidewhich was the cause of my issue
I stripped of my good passengers seat trim which had cut out at wrong side for seat belts back to the foam and re fixed it to a drivers backrest with cutout...
Few teething problems now car is up and running next thing will be the MOT in late November from state car was in with 12 months MOT it should fly through but I am sure there will be something to sort
Squeak from rear would seem to be half shaft universal joints will be fitting new ones later...
Sorted Clutch probs seals had gone in slave cylinder (fitted new slave cylinder) looks like all systems go for Saturday
it was a chuff to bleed so took it back off and bled it holding it vertical 2 minutes and it was done

Greased half shafts UJ and squeak has practically disappeared so its definatley a UJ
(new ones on order)
Also noticed that diff had little oil in - it took half a litre no problems which wouldnt have been helping, dont know capacity but if i remeber right you fill till it drips out of fill...

Better get some longer bolts as 2" ones are a just fit them make a base plate to keep belt sitting even
I have just fitted a pair of rear seat belts straight in to fixing points - no problems
Not happy with the belt rubbing over the backrest
do i lift the inertia reel half inch or so by making a base plate and using longer bolts
or am i missing something ?

Got another 2 problems to work on
The carbs are out of sync and running very rich.
Had a look and they have quite a few wrong screws in and very poor fit - (didnt know you could make a wood screw fit a carb)
Just won a set on ebay so at least before i start messing i will have a full decent...
