I have not seen this pattern of mirror before. It looks very similar to the standard Wingard ones that are generally factory / dealer options but does not have the screws exposed. Yours also has stange riveited backplate on the head. My guess is that if there is no makers name on the arm, then...

Looks really good. Not very often you see a P6 retrimmed to this goos a standard. The carpet looks really good, nice close cut pile by the looks of it very close to original trim.

I guess nobody out there knows why we there is this clash, just that the hinge sqeezes the hole in the boot lid out of shape and mangles the rubber infill grommit. Would be useful to know how common this is and if there is a fix for it?

I can't think I have ever seen a new rear valance as I don't ever remember seeing anyone who produces one. I would think best bet is to keep looking on ebay for a good s/h one. may be worth looking for someone who is listing parts from one they are breaking and asking if they have one for sale.
