Windscreen wiper motor mounting bolts

Hi Gents

Anyone know where I can get a set of windscreen wiper mounting bolts for my 3500S. There are 3 listed as part no 586016 and 2 of mine have perished through at the mid section rubber. If anyone can point me in the direction of a supplier or if anyone has some in a tin at the back of their garage I'd appreciate them letting me know.

I got 3 of these from Scotts.

I needed a pair of rear door/glass seals and a gear lever gaiter at the time so the postage cost wasn't too bad overall.

I may be wrong but are these the bad boys? the bolts have flats as can be seen in the photo.

I'm not sure if the DR2/3 motors mount any differently to the 16W - but these mounts are certainly different to the Rover part, in which the 2 studs are isolated from each other by the bonded rubber.

Probably right but I think that they may be a good substitute.

The DR2/3 seems to be a squared off unit and the studs screw into the body and then a bracket as with the P5.

I thought the gromit in the photo was the similar but there is only one of them. I would say that they would do the job though.

I used renault 5 exhaust mounting bobbins on mine they lasted for years - a bit more substantial than the originals

I removed my wiper motor to give better access to the heater unit controls (I have just refurbished my heater unit).

I found that 2 of the 3 mounts had broken and the third was severely perished. I am not a fan of NOS rubber parts as they are after all 30+ years old. I have found a helpful company who manufactures identical mounts, the only difference is the threads are metric (M6).

My new mounts arrived this morning - not far from getting the car ready for it's MOT.

The generic term for these sort of mounts is COTTON REEL MOUNTING.

New ones can also be found at Air Conditioning wholesalers - trade supply shops. they use them to isolate the motors from the frame and sometimes the whole units to the building to reduce noise.
