righto!
i am considering fitting p5 rostyles to my p6
i have some wheels with old rubber which are 195x 65 r15
my question is will 195x80 r15 fit?
i figure its best to ask before i go and turn my car into a 4x4 lookalike that can't go anywhere!
cheers all

Standard P6B tyres are around 650mm in diameter. 195/80 15s are around 693mm. That's a lot out, I certainly wouldn't do it

I have seen P6's running 195/70 X 15's (the correst size to match the diameter of the OE tyres) on P5 Rostyles without any fouling problems on the rear D post.

Chris

mine was running 195x65r15's without a problem but they are now knacked and my mate has come up with some 15x80r15 michelins which are very cheap and tempting.
ironically , the only d post fouling problems i've experienced were on low profile tyres which must have been the wheel offset.
also it was a bit lowrider for the mudflaps grounded!
oops|!

Putting over-diameter rear tyres on the P6B is a cery risky proposition. The bigger the tyre diameter the more likely a D post fouling issue. Otherwise a good plan to raise the overall gearing a little, but at the expense of having to recalibrate the speedo....

Chris

luckily or unluckily the speedo needs re-calibrating anyway after it had a 5 speed gearbox put in.
i've never got round to it cos i've just used the sat nav as a speedo.
ok, its not got a sat nav fitted by the way! just a portable!
I think i'm gonna try it so i'll let you know
