He has some wings as well, for a mere £135.00 each.

They are new though, so I suppose if you are trying to build a car with everything as perfect as possible, you might just pay £300 for a new door.

I wouldn't though 8)

The panels are heritage. I just fitted a brand spanking heritage osr rear 1/4. Its is very very poor. At least 1/4 inch out along bootlid gap near seam ... very disappointed. I have also fitted many heritage panels on Minis, wings notably as bad as cheap pattern parts. Genuine panels are best where possible, if no rot. I can understand paying top money for NOS genuine Rover, but nothing else. £300 for a door that has bits of surface crud in places is wishful thinkng for UK buyers.

You sure about that - it says he bought them 20 years ago.

I agree that its a bit pricey, but if, (IF) it is a genuine NOS Rover door, then it will be worth a few bob.

I stil wouldn't buy it though. Can't afford it 8)

New rear doors are dertainly worth that much. There are tiny numbers of them around - it probably tool me around 4 1/2 years to find a full set. They are always superior to 2nd hand as the latter tend to already have some damage within the seams and wrap overs. If you want a perfect result then this is the way to go!

As to the heritage wings. Quite right, they are far from perfect fits, and precisely mirror Rover production standard towards the end of production!! This was partly due to the press tools having by far exceeded the anticipated production run and being rather tired. Also to BL quality control. One of the problems in latter P6 production was hand fettling and adjustment of the panels for precisely this reason. Look at all the other posts on panel fitting and get over it! Its just going to be a long drawn out and skilled pain!

its warped along the top. PLace a straight edge against it and you can 1/4 inch daylight. £300 a door is frankly too much. Good second hand are about if you look hard and regularly. Its up the the individual. I certainly wouldnt be giving 10% of the value of a car for a single door.

I once went to see a bloke who had loads of brand new P6 bits & he had 2 full sets of doors & he wanted £450 each  & you had to buy a set of 4  that was about 7 or 8 years ago & needless to say I didn't get any

People just try and take the p*ss ... usually get shifted abroad to someone with more money than sence. Still if you need it and have the money, why not .... but you would need a clean motor to hang it on to judtify paying that.

He is & always has been VERY expensive. However a concours enthusiast may think it's worth paying that for what I would imagine are rare items new. I wouldn't think anyone else would though. You also pay VAT on the item & postage with this seller.

I have a new set of those somewhere in the garage, but I'd want far more than that just to cover the cost of the time it would take to actually find them!

Is £20 for an hour of Kelly Brook's time or for Harvey to sort out his garage ?

Is this seller a chap who works from home in Streatham / Brixton ? His prices used to be quite reasonable on run of the mill type items.

I can't see people paying high prices in the recession for bits which aren't vital to the running of their cars

Yes, he is in South London. TBH, I know the name but don't know what Kelly Brook looks like but I assume she's better looking than Harvey?

Isn't everyone?

Dangerous talk for a man who's rear calipers are in bits in my garage..............

I think Harvey may have more brains than Kelly Brook
When she was on Big Breakfast a few years back, she wasn't known for her intelligence
In fact she didn't last long before finding fame and fortune
