But I also have the 2200 / v8 rear suspension legs with wider bushes.
So I wonder if my 1971 rover rear has been changed at some point.

Hi Harvey thanks for info. I found out when I ordered the bushes for my 2000 they were to small to fit into the arm which are fastened into the base unit. So I had to get the 2200 bushes and thats when I realised the 2000 0nes are smaller.harveyp6 said:marcus/rosie said:Just out of interest my rosie has v8 wheels on and the straight rear links and there is plenty of clearance.

The lower arms are different, and I'm not sure the V8/2200 ones will fit into the base unit like the 2000 ones will. It's not something I've tried though, so who knows what's been done. You can't have a V8 type pinion crossmember fitted if it's a 2000 base unit though.
Thats same as my rosie plenty of clearance. I wonder if it just series ones that need the v8 type for clearance.harveyp6 said:Straight links as per standard 2000/2200, but you'd be hard pressed to see how the tyre could rub on those.
Hi Harvey that must be the case. I ve never seen the under rear of the series one 2000 only my 1971 and closely but they look same. But saying that I not the most observant of guys .i will look closely next time im under there.harveyp6 said:So you must have the flat plate type lower s/abs mounting then?
Hi Justin im currently doing same as you and fitting sd1 alloys to my 2200. I have had to change the front hubs to get the alloys to fit propery. But im hunting for the grease caps to fit . So if I or you locate a supply can you let me know were you got them . I will let you know if I locate some.justin said:Thats what I thought Harvey but am always willing to listen to people who have done it before.
