Rostyles and tyres

I've made the decision to sell the Rostyles currently on AXC if anyone is interested.

I bought them last year, and had new tyres fitted and balanced early this year. I just don't think they look right on Wedgie.

They have been painted blue over the black paint by a previous owner, and are 5J Rostyles, not 5.5J. The 5Js were rare as they were 2000 Rostyles. They then went to the 5.5J wheels which are slight wider for the P6B, although the will fit on both.

I have a set of four centre caps without Rover badges that will go with the wheels.

The tyres have probably done around 1,200 miles since they went on.

They fit fine.

The difference is that the early Rostyles are 5J and were only made in a limited number. The V8 came along and they went to 5.5J, so slightly wider. However, they both take the same size tyre, and they will fit fine on a V8.

The earliest 'Rostyles' were in fact made in America and had a different stud pattern until about 1968 I believe. Cars fitted with these wheels had a different hub. Rubery Owen licensed the design and changed the stud pattern to the one we now know.

I believe those are Magnums (or are they Magstars, I never can remember the difference).

These are Rostyles and fit cleanly onto a standard hub.

About the same as a standard steel wheel, however, shipping four Rostyles to Oz won't be cheap.
