Roof rack on Ebay

Seeing as how these are pretty hard to come by and sell for mega bucks, I wondered how easy it might be to make one?

Bit of tubular steel and some wooden slats, can't be that difficult for a reasonably competent engineer..... 8)

There's always a catch

It would take ten minutes to dismantle & it would wrap quite well with some bubblewrap. They're limiting their market by leaving it assembled.

Good luck Chris! And if you do win and decide you don't want it... :D

That was the idea mate.. but I was outbid. Problem with being in the Middle East at the moment, is it's hard to keep an eye on auctions.

If you do find another one, and need it posted out, just let me know.. I already have one, so don't need another :)

Cheers Chris, that would be a great help. I was going for that one in Aussie but it got too pricey.
I cant remember what price the Aussie one is/was,but once you factor in huge p/p cost, and time from the UK and any rechroming that may be needed, getting one locally in OZ could prove more economical!
Ditto if you need help with posting one from the UK!
Will look out for one,you never know whats gonna turn up in the autojumble at shows I attend!!

There was one a couple of months back on Ebay Australia and they were happy to post over seas and I was ready to spend NZ$500 (about 250 quid) on it (including postage) but it went beyond my budget. I don't think they are at all common in Oz or NZ unfortunately.
