There are ways to fix it without paying photobucket "fixphotobucket.com" The thread owner can do the fix but it is a lot of work. The admin of Retrorides has found a way to retireve all Photobucket pictures on the the entire Retrorides forum.
I had a look at that link, seems it may be possible to for admin to host all the Photobucket images on the forum on another site.
The link gives contact details. Fix blocked Photobucket images
Yes, l see mine have gone now as well.
Well, photof***et can whistle. I only used them to host, not to store.
May their less-than-adequate business sink into the mire of obscurity.
$400 per year, my Aunt Fanny.
sadly more and more sites are seeking higher revenues so w can expect fees to be applied where they can. often advertising used to suffice but competition form others and of course normal business behaviour to seek to increase 'profits'? if everybody simply dumped photo bucket its commercial value becomes worthless .others sites competing will see that occur and hesitate to start employing high fees. its getting increasingly rare to get anything free.. did I hear they are trying to work on a breathing tax ?

hi there,
Concerning the photobucket problem:
I have checked my account and all my pictures from 20 years are still there .
I have always uploaded pictures for this forum direct from my computer and not from photobucket.
So logic points to that the problem may well be with the formatting of the forum and coding when downloading from photobucket?
Just a thought.
Peter
I think they have started to charge for the service of LINKING to other sites, like Forums and such like.
Every Forum I go to has that irritating message saying "pay up to see your pics"..
My Photobucket account is still active and I still have access to all my images. I keep getting a "you're getting close to your storage limit" email but I'm only 84% full and haven't uploaded anything for a while. These uploads are all copies of images I have stored on a hard drive so I'll never actually lose them if Photobucket stops working or I get locked out. It'll just affect my posts here.
All my images are still there on Photobucket too Peter, but the problem is that they now want to charge $399 per year for 3rd party usage, i.e. this forum and others like it. So if I were to pay them that amount, then my images that are here on the forum that I have stored on Photobucket, will then reappear. The current platform that this forum is running on allows for direct upload from say your own computer, hence some of my images where I have utilised that feature remain. The earlier platform for the forum did not offer the feature of direct upload, hence the use of Photobucket and other photo sharing websites.
Anyone have an idiot guide to uploading direct from your computer ?
I just tried to and cannot get anywhere .
I clicked on the upload a file button but cannot see any of my pics in the box as they are taken with an iPhone and stored under photos on my PC which is running Win 10
The Photos heading does not appear in the lists.

You can drag and drop your pictures here - just left click and hold the image and drag it into the dialogue box.
Rich, or Ron - I think the admins over at Retro Rides have got a work around for the PB issue - maybe someone could drop hotwire a line and see if they would be able to help us out? Photobucket - what just happened..... | Retro Rides
Don't know what to tell you then
I just dragged and dropped this picture - occasionally it won't work if the file is too large but you can just edit the size of the photo.
