Just picked up on this.
As a Non Graduate I was always irritated by the tendency of some Graduate Trainee Accountants to have some sort of superiority complex...............easily stamped out by sending them off to WH Smiths for some 'Audit Ticks'. One particularly clever Grad did come back with some 3mm coloured adhesive circles - 'they didnt have any ticks so I got circles' - that was initiative!
This did backfire on me once when stocktaking at a car dealers, I asked the Trainee to audit the vehicle stock as he had some parts, managed to stop him using a red pen to mark the cars he had counted!
