Hello everyone,

I just happen to become a proud owner of a piece of the british motor industry: a rover 2000tc 1972.
I have done around 1000 miles so far and the car seems to be mechanic-wise absolutely spot on! What a joy to drive!
I have been to two shows last month: Bromley Pageant and the National P6 Rover Owner's Club in Barnsley.
The car is far away from being concourse, but I am quite happy with it the way it is. I use it everyday and I have plans to make small improvements with time.
Anyone in this forum from Norfolk? I live in Norwich and it would be nice to catch up with enthusiasts to get some tips, as I am desperate to learn more about these old treasures.

Best
Andre

Hi Andre

Nice car you have there. Welcome to the forum.

We met at Barnsley last weekend BTW.

Richard

Hi Andre,

Congrats on your purchase. I'm hoping to use mine daily too, when it's all up and running. My brother lives in Norwich, so I head over that way sometimes.

Welcome to the forum. I too will be using my P6 as my daily driver once a couple of niggles are sorted.

Hello Andre, do you have any pic's of your car that you could post? I never get tired of looking at P6 pictures.

I am guessing your car is Corsica Blue?

Hi bluecorsica (Andre),
Welcome aboard, I'm in the top end of Essex and often end up in Norfolk when I fancy a drive in the 2000 (mine's a daily too) or a ride on one of the bikes. Loadsa nice places for a tootle around on two or four wheels. I've got a feeling there's a classic meet on in Yarmouth in one of the well known pubs, may be worth a bit of investigation for dates/times etc.
Anyway happy Rovering,
all the best,
Jon.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

Richard: Are you the chap that lives 2 miles from the heritage center whose car was being painting?

JVY: I am still not sure if my car is corsica blue or zircon blue as they are very similar colours. How do I do to post pictures in the forum btw?

Tom: let me know when you're around Norwich, perhaps we could catch up for a pint?

Jon: I will search more info about the Yarmouth gathering. By the way, I bought my car from a geezer in Clacton. Let me know when you have any meetings going on in Essex so perhaps I can come down?

Cheers

Andre

Hi Andre,

I'd be up for a pint, I'll let you know when I'm over Norwich way.

Re uploading pics. Beneath the box where you type in when you post, there's a tab for upload attachment. You can upload photos through that.
