thanks dave,i am trying to get my series one minted up ready for the all rover rally at beamish and thats may 16th so got my work cut out but hopefully will be ready,this snow and very cold weather stopping progress at the minute Bri

Hi all,just thought i would update you all,i have started the resto on my series1 2000automatic,i have took the nsf wing off took the ns sill cover off and is ab solutly solid with no corrosion there watso ever,the old man i bought it off from lutterworth early last year said it was garaged from new,and its really paid off,i am taking all the panels off and giving it a full baremetal respray,i have took the back seats out pulled out the carpet and underlayer and again is really good,i will keep you all updated on my progress thanks Bri

You do have a nice collection of cars.. Your white 3500S is especially nice,...have you had it restored or is that original condition? The minilites do look very nice indeed...

Hi Ron,thanks for your comment,the white v8 i bought from an elderley man in liverpool,it had been stored in a heated garage under a cover for a few year before i bought it,he described it to me as it needed a bit of work and the milage was under 50k,wen i got there i was stunned to c it had only covered 34000 miles from new,i could not believe it,it has every m,o,t to prove the milage is correct,i drove her home and stripped all the panels off,and the baseunit was immaculate,it had never seen a welder,so i had the panels proffesionally painted in the original arctic white,i fitted the panels back on and had a few bits rechromed,i have fitted the extras,and is looking superb now,i have put alot of time and hard earned money into it and is worth every penny, the 1st show i took it to,i came home with a shield for 1st place,really didnt expect to win anything,but its just a pleasure to drive and own,its now hibernating in the garage covered up ready for the all rover rally at Beamish muesuem thanks Bri

Hi all,managed to get my 2000 to the painters and have stripped all the panels off,every panel has gone back to baremetal,the baseunit is solid as is the inner and outer sills,i will try and upload pics for the weekend Thanks Bri

Thats all pics up 2 date,my painter has been blocking the sides 2 day removing the minor dings and stuff,all the panels have been bare metalled and all the rust has been cut away,and new metal welded in,will keep you guy posted Bri

my painter has painted the whole car black as he is wanting every dent out possible,i must say the car was bad as every panel had a ding in them,but we are nearly there and he thinks he wil have it ready and painted in its original arden green by the weekend,will keep you all posted Bri

Hi all,the car is now painted,and starting to look like a car again,put all frames back into the doors and lined them up,bonnet and boot to go on tomorrow and hopefully start on the engine bay,cant wait to be at the end stages where all that is left to do is polish it,ha,still a longway to go but we are getting there slowely Bri

I do really like Arden Green.

ONe trick we pulled on the (Arden Green) Thai car was to apply the last couple of colour coats as a 50/50 mix with lacquer. Gives a really deep lustre to the paint. Well worth the effort!

Hi all,eventually got my car bk from the painters as it has had to be painted twice dont ask ha,all chromework has been rechromed and a new pair of rear lights obtained,all thats left to do is the interior,will try and get some pics up wen weather sorts its self out Bri
