Just wanted to share a few photos of my latest purchase, its a 1974 2200TC, 41,500 miles which I would believe to be genuine, original Irish car, I am only owner number 3, it seems very solid underneath and drives quite well. I will add some more photos next week when I clean it up. these photos are from a few weeks ago when I placed a deposit on it, it made the journey from Killarney in Kerry to Tipperary some 102 miles without skipping a beat! i just need to get a nice shed sorted to keep it nice and clean.

I owned a P6 2200TC for many years but it was in turmeric

loved that car

I sold it somewhere around 1990

but never really been a fan of the manual gearbox to be honest

the P6 3500s came out as standard with auto and that really set me in my ways as an "auto guy" ever since

anymore photos Stephen? you said you would add some more :p

Stephen,
that is an incredible find!!!Original Irish registered P6s are pretty thin on the ground! I own a Dublin reg one, and two friends have ones from Limerick and Tipp but that is the first surviving Cork City registered one I've ever seen! Would love to hear more of the history on it.
Regards,
Dave

Thank you for the nice comments! the seats are not quite as good as the photo might indicate, the sunroof is rather nice too I must say. I will post more photos when I get a chance to take some! Dave the car was originally registered to a Leonard Dovey, an English businessman who had interests around cork, he used the car whenever he came over from England, the last owner bought it off him in 1994 and now I bought it just recently. I have been enjoying driving it around lately, its by no means perfect but it is in great shape for its age, just needs some minor improving as everything works.

Interesting history there Stephen. Some Irish cars can have serious 'blanks' in their history!! Mine had a very large blank in it's tax book that spanned from 1980 until 2004!! However I've since met a number of additional owners who had the car during that time but never registered it  (5 unregsitered keepers at the very least that I know about!) One of the former owners sons lives quite near me and currently has a Tipp registered 2200TC in Paprika, with a webasto, tan leather with ETs and minilites.
Regards,
Dave

I took some photos of the interior a couple of weeks ago, there not great but you get the idea! also a shot of the engine bay. the arm rest is badly frayed at the rear and the seat tops, the vinyl part is starting to split, is there anything I can do with these? or is this just part of the cars 'character'!
