Both console & carpets looking good Gareth. Although the P6 interior is hard to criticise, I sometimes think that a litte extra wooden veneer wouldn't have been a bad thing and I do think the console is a nice touch - kind of brightens up or "lifts" the interior nicely. Did you come by it or make it and,if so, tell us how please?

TBH, I think the wood slightly detracts from the forward-looking design of the interior. I like the blackness of the standard cabin fitments broken up by the particular colour scheme afforded by the seats, door cards...etc & the thin line of veneer around the waistline. Though I like the all-black scheme too.
Nice job though.

thanks guys the wooden console was made by my friend i didnt like the black plastic 1 look so cheap and also the black part of the dash thats why i made it look like wood and i got wood also down the side of the doors so thought i would make it all match wanted somthing a bit different

Looking good Gareth. I agree with you, some of the plastic does look underwhelming, especially the S2 instrument binnacle, and the handbrake and gear gaitors look a bit cheap. I've a spare centre console I hope to find a long piece of black leather for, with a thin sheet of foam underneath plus replace the gaitors with leathers. And maybe polish the ashtrays, Corazon-style 8)

That sounds like a classy mod to me :) don't forget to post the pics Tor

Mth looking quite woody, have I just name him by any chance :)
I do like individuality Gareth, well done :D

I couldn't disagree more. I've always loved the S2 instrument layout & think it looks very classy indeed.

Looking very smart Gareth, I like it, is that wood just missing a bit of Ebony and Mother of Pearl inlay.......

I'm half and half on that one. I love how comprehensive and clear the dials are, but when viewed from an angle other than the drivers' seat, it does look a little plain. I have a few subtle mods planned to correct that. I also think the centre console is a bit underwhelming in original form. I like Gareth's idea, and like the NADA style leather approach, but haven't decided if I'll do anything yet.

Looking good, Gareth! A lovely clean interior makes everything feel better!

hi guys thanks for the replys well mth has got a name already (christine) from the movie she was name that because she was white with red seats at the time
i didnt like the p6 gear gaitor so replaced that with a leather 1 and does set that off i do need to replace the hand brake gaitor so i will replace that with a nice leather 1 i got the carpets from rover classic but wins have taken over and they do nice carpets
some people dont like the wood and some do i realy thinks it set if right off and think rover should of done that in the first place and some people think i should of kept with the orginal dash but i hated that so much so thought it best to replace it with the later type but did not like the black so thought would make it all match

My thoughts exactly. I dig the instruments, readability and layout, just not the casing up close...
