Have a set of Miilites ... cannot fit centre caps as will not fit over metal cap on original hub. Have seen loads of P6's with Minilites with similar problem. Any advise anyone? CHeers Jim

I have a set of center caps that I think are minilite.

Can you post a photo of your caps? The ones I have look like they stick out a fair bit.

With the dust cover boss on the hub on front, it is only possible to get wheel on alone ... no room for any cap of any sort. Just wondered what people have done in past.

I have those wheels and I've got one P5 Rostyle cap in the shed (which someone gave me to try) and it fits perfectly on the rear wheels but on the front the bearing cap protrudes a bit too much for them to fit securely. However, I reckon the spring clips could be massaged enough to get them to stay on. Haven't had time to try it yet though.

I dug out the centre caps that I have. The story is I bought a set of these for my Rostyle wheels but did not fit.

I am the opinion that they are for mini-lites but have never had a pair the verify that. The badge is SD1, there was red and black, one was for the Vitesse models and the other was for the Vanden Plas when fitted with the crosshatched alloys. The caps are not for those alloys though.

Hope this photo helps, I can email it or compare sizes for you.

If anyone recognises them let me know.

Colin

Would they be for Police SD1's ? Some of them had Minilite or similar wheels .I recall lots of them for sale at Mitcham Car Auction in the early 80's
