Hi all,
I need to source some Lunar Grey paint for a fellow club member's car and was woundering if anyone has a RAL number/paint code for it? I went to my local Halfords today (the only source I know of in Cork for celulose paint) and they couldn't find it on the system. I have bought mexico brown, artic white, davos white and almond from them in the last few months, which were all on their system, but nothing for lunar grey.
Regards,
Dave

Hi Dave. I have a Lunar Grey P6. If I knew what a RAL number was I might be able to help you. I have the Rover Part Numbers if they are of assistance. Regards edward1

Get them to look in the green shades section,I am sure it is in there!
Am sure somewone has recently got some from Halfords,so hopefully they will help you more!

I believe there are 3 or 4 different shades of Lunar Grey and they are quite different .Would be best to find someone who can match it to the car

They do have it in Halfords, I have a tin they made up for me.

When they ask you what vehicle it is, and you say 'Rover P6' they will look it up under BMC. Ask them to try 'ROVER' - it is in there.

The paint code is LCA

I got some earier this year from this chap http://www.auto-paint.co.uk who will post it to you. The colour was a good match for what was already on my car, but the car had ben resprayed before in 1995.

Lads,
thanks for your assistance, I'll give halfords a call. When the guy checked the system I had him check under rover and BL. As I said almond etc were on the system. On the point of the different shades, how different are they? I know there is a way of electronically generating a paint code from a sample but I don't know of any paint suppliers in Cork that do it, but I might make a few calls later. The paint is being used on the front and rear valances so it won't be that noticeable if it is a fairly good match, I'll give the LCA code a try if i can't get it matched.
Regards,
Dave
