went Iceland shopping today and found this parked up a few streets away,

done the usual DVLA checks and it comes back as last used in Jan 07, i'm sure this car used to belong to a guy who lived in Twyford,

Hmm, do you think it's a genuine NADA 3500S? (I guess the steering wheel could be changed over easily enough) I like the liberal use of the ashtray, gives it a certain air of Selwyn Frogget!

No, he's grabbed a few bits, such as the bonnet and the 3500S badges - NADA type, not the flush UK type - but it does look good

Shame about the shunt to the back though. Might be worth offering a few hundred quid as a parts car..

why cant i find things like this,i would to find a v8 there is a couple on the bay but they are to far away oh well i will just after keep looking

Thats what i think to,it's basically a S1 thats been converted to a 4 speed manual,..the rear lights and single reverse lamp were phased out sometime in 66 ( i think ),..the interior is tidy (apart from the boxes of clothes ),...one thing you can't see in the pics very well is the front wing damage,

The rear isn't that bad,it seems limited to the bootlid bumper & irons, valance

My son is going to find out who owns it and what they intend to do with it,

If it's not been taxed since 07 how come it's still on the road? (I'm not saying it's being used) But I thought the council would have shipped it of to the scrap yard by now or at least stuck fixed penalty on it for having no road tax.

P.s. Nice find.

The location is a very quiet cul-de sac in a very quiet part of Woodley, from the info i have so far it's been there for about 4 months,..the last time i saw this car it was filling up at the petrol station across the road from me,but that was at least 18 months ago,

There was one in Rotherham about a month ago.

Hi all,

I've been back to this car today to try and find out who now owns it,.....no joy,.so i've left a note on the windscreen with my contact details,
funnily enough,on my way home my missus spotted another one in a front garden,it's a s2 in blue, not sure if it's a 4 pot or V8, i'll go back tomorrow with my camera a see if i can get some pics,...and then we saw a lunar grey one on an S plate turning off the A4 going into Twyford.

I went back today to see if i can find out a bit more about it,..... it's gone!!!!,
on my way home i spotted it driving on the opposite carriageway heading towards Twyford,by the time i had managed to turn round i'd lost it',

Well thats good news of sorts- I was dreading the next post being the council siezing it and going to the crusher!

Thats what i thought at first, but when i saw it i thought "Thank god it hasn't been scrapped"
There's a small bodyshop in the village, so it could be there,

Just hope the owner is not driving around with not Tax, the plod will auto scrap any illegal car they find being driven around.

Saw this car again today, it was parked in the Texaco garage opposite my home,i couldn't stop as Hermione was booked for her MOT and i was running late.

On ebay now, minus the fags!

Bear in mind it is simply a S1 v8, converted to manual (ie not an S) with a NADA bonnet and a set of Minilites. At £800 with no tax, no MOT and having had a mop run over it and with the great wallop up the arse, it seems all the money.

Love the exhast too, looks like two foot of stainless welded on, not even bent to fit .. still an interesting punt.

I wonder how much of it is series 1 or series 2??
It seems to be a bit of a bitsa car!
Now got an MOT!!
