Finally and by accident I came across a remanufactured colour label for Arctic White that should arrive within a few days. I'm however not quite sure where it should sit. Does anyone have photos of one in a left-hand drive car?
Hi Tor,
I found a picture of an engine bay in my stored"finn" ads of what looks like a very original LHD rover. And I agree, its on the right hand side inner wing.
regards, Barten
Thanks Barten! That looks different to what richj posted, in that the service and colour stickers are opposite from each other in your photo. I actually found a photo from a current ad (http://www.finn.no/44370387) that's just like it. And it turns out that's also completely unlike mine, which started life as RHD and still has the service sticker on the right-hand inner wing. I only just realised...
I made up the info sticker for mine, and felt that it looked a little lonely on its own, so I managed to get the others.
With the many shows this year, and open bonnets, I took a load of photos to check exactly where they should go, and found that no two were the same. Every single one was different from all of the others.
I conclude from this that either 1/. Rover didn't have an exact position for them all, or 2/. They had all been replaced and not in the correct position.
So mine went on where I felt they should be
I even managed to get the one on the heater, but it isn't the correct one :?
All NADA cars have their main labels on the Right hand inner wing (Our O/S) and I believe all LHD's on the production line also did. All RHD cars that I have owned that were unrestored all had labels on left hand (Our N/S)
Sorry for steeling this topic, but I am looking for the colour label for Copperleaf Red for my 1964 car.
Is this somewhere available or does someone have a picture of one?
Thanks!
