yes the modern car is going but the p6 is still staying :D

Kids are what put my Rover on hold for all these years.And they are still about with hands outstretched even in their twentys !! Good Luck and Congratulations.
 
Well done Gareth! Your kids (presuming more will come) will have a dad who owns a classic car, which makes you one notch cooler than other dads.

Congratulations Gareth. I reckon that becoming a parent is the biggest & best event in your life (apart from getting your first P6 :D ).
 
A few years ago, my old woman said that there was no way she would let me put our littleun in my old mk2 Cooper, stating, "you need something bigger and more modern" .. she expected me to buy a people carrier, I bought a 3500S!

They are fine to put kids in, big solid, strong old buses (as long as the base unit is solid, I have heard of people buying cars and the bulkhead has dropped out :wink: )

I dont understand this, "I would buy x or Y, but the wife would kill me" and blokes who sit indoors until they are 50 in fear of upsetting their wife by having a pint as she stays in with the kiddy.

Congratulations Gareth .... hopefully in 16 years time he will be pulling gearboxes out for you.
