Just a quick 'Hi' from a new member

Hi - glad to be here! Just bought a P6 at the weekend - expecting collection to be in the next few days so just saying 'hi' for now.

Living in Sheffield i just wondered if anyone can recommend a great P6 friendly mechanic / garage in the local area in case I get in to trouble? :)

BTW it's a 73 3.5 V8 auto in Almond with black leather. It's the car I wanted as I had an identical one 30 plus years ago when I was 21 when these were just cheap old cars - but still with something about them. So very much an emotional purchase.

And me…had my first P6 at 17. And I still have it…SAME ONE! Im 57 next birthday. When I was a teenager, all my friends said it was an old man’s car, I guess they were right

My first car was a 2000TC back in the 70s and I still have one, although it's a fair bit quicker than my first.

Dan Nicholson's up near Wakefield somewhere, and there's Clive Annable down in Derby. Maltby car spares is a breakers yard with some P6s over in Donny.

Quite a few P6s around here, including mine over at Brinsworth.

Cheers - that's a great start. There are 'classic car' garages here in Sheffield but none specialise - I did hear that there might be one in Chesterfield but a google search didn't throw anything up.

My first P6 over 30 years ago - GOV747L - long since scrapped sadly - but it made quite an impression. So glad to have the same year & spec back in my life!

The chap down at Sheffield Classic Cars has a P6B, I don't know if he gets to drive it much these days though.

Grown up with my P6b too.
Purchased her new in 72, still have her. Bit of a back story though.
Love it to bits and thanks to the knowledge on here ,is still running beautifully after 50yrs.
These P6's do grab you.
