I found out why the wipers were defunct. The fuse was missing. Having replaced it, I find that I am unable to turn off the heater. That explains why the fuse was missing!
The control rod for the heater appears to be siezed. It moves up and down with the control but feels like a solid rod, only flexing in movement, indicating that a linkage or WHY is siezed in place. As the rod disappears into the bulkhead I am at a bit of a loss.
Advice please, gentlemen.
