Hi Barten.
That seal fits into a channel aided by a special tool which is like a large flat washer and rolls the seal into that channel, and not glued.
I made my own tool which works well.

My mistake was dozing off
Your right Richard no seal on that part of the D post .
There was a right angled sponge seal glued to the rear wing in that area where it touches the D post.
Not seen original ones now but I think Wins sells something similar.

That seal is meant to be glued to the wing. If it isn't there and you drive much in the rain, you'll find the back of the rear door and the D post area will get quite dirty.
