Heater box anyone??

I know it is a real long shot . . . but I am looking for anyone out there who has a fully refurbished heater box for a P6.
I would pay decent money for one, so if you have one you would consider selling (or you know someone, or a business, that has) please let me know!
Failing that I may have to go down the unappealing route of refurbishing my existing box.
In which case, does anyone know where I can buy a new, or probably reconditioned, heater matrix?
I like to drive my car all year round (unless they have thrown salt and grit down) so am trying to get the heater sorted before the chills of winter set in!
Please help . . . if you can. Thanks.
 
When I did mine I looped the heater circuit back on itself whilst the heater box was removed, and duct taped all the holes in the bulkhead to prevent any fumes from the engine bay entering the cabin. That way I was able to keep the car mobile during the refurb.

You won't have any demist though if you do this - although its not been quite cold enough for me to need mine yet. You might be ok if you crack on with it quick!
 
Clive did mine - he repaired it at one of the restoration shows with the p6club. He did a great job. He basically fabricated new metal parts and put in a refurbed matrix which i sourced from demisterman.

It's worth it - they're toasty.
 
Hello, I don't have any restored boxes in stock at the moment. I could have one ready in say.... About 1 month ? They are £350 with a new Matrix, re foamed flaps ect. £300 if old unit is used in exchange.
Let me know if you are interested and I will pull my finger out and restore one. (I'm restoring some of my Land Rover at the moment) :) also I'm based in Gloucestershire. But post is an option. Thanks! Alex. P
