front bushes

Hi Every body.
Can anyone give me abvise about which bushes to use. I have to replace the front upper bushes as some are showing serious wear, I can replace with either nos or Uruethane.
I am not looking for race type suspension. All information gratefully recieved.

Hi John,

Top link bushes, the single inner closest to the spring and the two cone shaped outer bushes are pretty well impossible to source as NOS items, unless of course you already happen to have some! Remanufactured rubber bushes are available from J R. Wadhams and from what I hear are of excellent quality. Poly bushes are much firmer and unfortunately will squeak when used in this application, so if given a choice, stick with the rubber ones.

Thanks for that, I will go with your thoughts, where possible I prefer original. I am not going to fit them myself, there is in Auckland an experenced garage for P6's. The next thing is a replacement exaust system (already sourced from Al) then a new set of 165 tyres, so an expensive month for Rover.

Hi John.

I recently replaced all of my front and rear suspension bushes and used standard rubber/metalastic items. These were either NOS or repro, mainly from JRW and Winns. My top link bushes were from JRW and seem to be of a good quality.
