Foosty gets a vinyl roof, but not a normal one..

Yeah, particularily with classics there seem to be some people that get overtly annoyed if you do anything other than go with strict originality so I'm sure i'll get that at some point, but I like it which is the main thing for me. Will be a bit annoyed if there is indeed another one kicking around with the same over here though. :(

Not a fan of the full chrome wrap personally but the guys who did my roof had done a full wrap of a black Alfa 156 wagon from black to white, looked really good.

Aparently would cost about $2500 to wrap the entire car in top quality vinyl so quite good value if compared to a full respray. Prob is it still needs a lot of prep done for that sort of coverage as any dust/paint defects underneath the vinyl will show through and it could be a bit susceptible to stone chips around the front end tearing it.

It is indeed now back on the road, alas not all of the new parts I ordered from the UK turned up so i ended up having to buy another used side steering arm after waiting for many weeks longer than it could have been to get it back on the road, but hey at least it's done now and I'm very happy to have it back and working.

some people need to seriously get over themselves and realise that time marches on and back in the day, things weren't particularly well planned or designed anyway!

I like the "day two" muscle car scene in the US (ie mag wheels, headers, traction bars etc), I see your car as a bit of this Al, near original with some cool period type upgrades.

Not for me but I like to see different stuff done by people. Be boring if we were all the same :)
Reminds me of this that used to be regular down the Ace Cafe

Bloody hell, that's loud! Just a shame about its looks... the SD1's shape is beautiful, why mess it up with those stupid headlights etc? The Daytonaesque headlights and indicators are what define the SD1 to me... The union flag doesn't suit it either IMO. Now, an SD1 in dark blue, slammed, with a Sierra Cosworth rear spoiler, an RPI 5.2 up front and an LSD down back...
