Chassis Tilter

Sparky is off his tilter now so I am open to offers.

This is a chassis tilter, or spinner if you like. The base unit can be mounted on it and the car can be turned 360 degrees in its own space.

It is not a car tilter, the whole car cannot be mounted on it - just the stripped down base unit.

The unit was designed to fit most cars, but the brackets only fit the P6B. Front bolts onto the centre bumper brackets using the original bolts, and the rear bolts into the rear bumper mounts.

It is designed as a free standing unit, but I bolted it to the floor to make it more stable.

Makes underside welding a lot easier 8)

Drat! I know I'll need one desperately ... ok, "want" actually, but the ladies get away with it, when I finally have a garage again. You're about a year too early for me, although I'm sure things like this will get rotated around the club (Geddit? Thanks, I'm here all week...)

It is excellent news to hear Sparky is back on the deck though, looking forward to seeing more pics.

Hi Richard,

Might be interested here. I know we chatted about this at Rugeley...but I've been to bed a few times since then!

What d'you think would be involved in adapting it for a 2000? If it's just the brackets - how complex are they?

Cheers,

Hi Stan

If you have a look at the top picture, you can see how the brackets bolt onto the middle bumper fixing holes. I haven't had a four cylinder P6 for a while now and do not know how the bumpers bolt on, so cannot really offer any advice on that bit. All you really need to do is make up some brakets which will fit the long cross bar - you may even be able to modify the ones that are currently on there.

Strangely, the chap who bought the spinner didn't pay for it, doesn't answer his PMs or telephone??

So, it's back on the market of anyone wants it

Sorry to hear the sale fell through.

Out of interest, how far in front and behind the vehicle does the tilter extend ?, although I've got a double garage it is quite short with not much room either end of the P6.

Looks like it's gone again Richard :)
