anyone own up to this?

I do remember seeing this back in the day. Didn't like it then, don't now

It's been off the road for nearly 30 years

Makes doing the rear brakes a lot easier, and the extra head of fuel should help reduce the fuel vaporisation issues.

Hi, Ahh yes but the past is another country, they do things differently there. They're a great car, both then and now to you and me, but in the late 70s they were starting to be seen as an old fashioned car compared to the Ford products of the time with the like of The Sweeney and The Professionals on TV. Most car modding trends have roots in competition, Jacking the rear up aids weight transfer on launch in drag racing and lowering and cambering the wheels comes from the track. It's just all taken to extremes.

Looks like it has been rear ended but fair play a lot of work has gone in. each to their own.

Used to see a ford pop in this style locally, perhaps the wheelbase length makes a difference.

the job is not finished is obvious, the front is going to be raised up , then it can be used in the bush as a roo spotter car..
