Hi,

I'm new to the forum but having been checking it out for a week or two now since I bought my P6. It's a 1974 V8 model in brown with sunroof and orange cloth interior (have been told this is rare? I have no idea). It had been laid up for 10 years up until last year when it was MOT'd by the previous owner and covered 26 miles since! Few niggles to sort out and a paint job but all in all a nice solid car.

Well here's some pics, I'm going to paint it soon...

Looks like you've got a good project to work on there
You might think of some leather seats unless you like 70's poptastic orange ?

hey and welcome to the forum it's always nice to see new motor that join the forum you got a nice tidy motor you got there

yea some nice leater seat would look nicer i am thinking about selling the seats in mine but dont know yet

Yes I think a set of leather seats would be nice but my priorities are to get it running right first (probs with fuel pump I think - dosen't like going uphill) and give it a respray. I've already replaced the water pump and fixed the leaky reserve tap last night. It is a good base as it is so sound.

and fixed the leaky reserve tap last night

You put me to shame - I'm still in the " thinking about it " stage. It doesn't get easier as you get older ,wondering whether you'll need your reading or distance glasses, or whether whichever you wear you won't be able to see what you're doing

:) Well I did read up on it and asked a few questions and thought it was going to be a bit of a mission. Turns out it was fairly easy - I just jacked the front up and used a 45 degree ish pick with a curl on the end to hook the old one off in situ.
