Hello everyone. I've finally come to my senses.... I'm going to buy a P6! I've wanted one ever since I can remember but, never brought one. So I'm selling my Mini so I can finally own one.
If anyone has one or knows of one for sale around Guildford or surrounding areas, please let me know.
Ed.

Would anyone know if the Rover 2000 SC in Guildford is still up for grabs in the for sale section? I've tried to phone the owner a few times but there never seems to be anyone there when I ring....

I never got through either - this was several months ago. I have a horrible feeling the owner may have passed away. I used to see the car occasionally near Tescos in Guildford - is was a very original Cameron Green SC.

Just to let you know, I've just updated the For Sale section on the main site, not many cars for sale but worth a look.

WOW !

122 FLK / 2200 TC triplex

Never heard about this P6

I think this is a semi-legendary car from Birmingham which has been offered for sale before - very big money. The number plate dates from the times (early 1980's) when it was possible to apply for, and get, historic number plates from the DVLA. See also the V8 that has an 'FLK' plate which often turned up at ROC events over the years.

Hello to all,

I have owned my red Rover P6B for 6 years; she is my daily driver. I'll study the FAQ and then attach a picture of her. Two years ago I had the engine rebuilt with 3.9 litre liners and a mild cam, so she has plenty of power. And the BW65 transmission has been overhauled also. the car looks tidy on the outside but in reality is a rolling restoration. We do not have an MOT system here and as long as I do not drive like an idiot I am not very likely to be inspected.

The car when I purchased it had a Huntsman Roof - electric sliding roof with beige vinyl. With our hot summers I decided that a sunroof was not the thing to have and I put on a standard roof from a parts car. I have airconditioning but this is disabled until new updated gas pipes wih approved connectors can be fitted.

For my Christmas holiday I will be rebuilding and fitting a spare heater.

I think that this site contains a lot of information of great value to P6 owners- I am pleased to be a member!

Cheers

122 FLK is on a 2200TC with a Triplex Glass roof registered 1/7/1984. The car is not one of the Talago's .
The roof came out of one of the original triplex roof fitted cars and apparently there was a load of new spares which were sold with the car.

Hi Mark

Someone was saying there was a copy of your club's mag online but I can't find it

Any chance of arranging this so we can see what your club offers ?

I think it is very cheeky indeed. Shouldn't be aloud.

But while it still is try http://www.p6club.com/node/231 and then click on the cover of the magazine. This will take you to the gallery where each page is visible by clicking the next button. The on-line quality is a bit crappy but you'll get the general jist of it. I have only displayed it in a low definition so that it loads quickly and its there just to give everyone a taster. That said it is A4, part colour (full colour on line) and it is bi-monthly.
It is compiled, edited, formatted, bagged, stamped, labeled, posted, (in fact everything apart from the actual printing of the mag file) is done by an over enthusiastic amature.

Email your address to editor@p6club.com if you would like to see a copy.
That is before I am censored!
Very Cheeky!

I take the view that we're all in P6's together! If you have something you want to share from any other club or individual it's fine by me!

Nice to have you as a Forum member Mark.

Magazine looks OK to me with the exception being the Broquet advert There's no proof those things work so should a Club endorse the product ?

Dave

The RP6C doesn't endorse the Broquet product, but instead the item is supposed to be informative and is designed to highlight to members that the company has offered any member who buys the product a discount. On a personal note I know that the product has been a contributary factor by improving overall performance and by preventing what would be normal valve resession in several vehicles. As for the fundamentals of its properties, these were highlighted in the second world war, when the original product was developed to get Hurricans flying successfully on Russian fuel.

Have you got any documented evidence that this stuff works? Because frankly, I don't believe it.

I have put some pebbles in my tank and the throttle repsonse does feel a little better. Also, I am getting a slightly better fuel consumption. I can give anyone interested a discount if they want to buy some.

Richard
