420 miles

Well that was quite a day. Number 1 daughter delivered to uni in the 2000TC. Round trip of 420 miles; nine hours driving and it didn't miss a beat. How many other 43 year old classics could manage that?

More a question of "would you want to" in many cases. As much as I love Morris Minors, 420 miles at motorway speeds wouldn't be my idea of fun.

I took Sparky from Barnsley down to Shaftesbury and back, and driving around Dorset for the weekend for my Son's wedding a couple of years ago. 570 miles in a weekend, absolutely loved every second of it :)

I regularly do London to Devon/ Cornwall, doing it this weekend infact, also drove to Spa classic this summer and Le Mans last summer, I use it like you would use a Mondeo, (although with a bit more sensitive servicing).

Have just put Pirelli cinturato tyres all round which had made a huge difference to motorway speed noise and handling.

I am living in holland and sometime ago i picked up some wheels in London with my P5B Coupe. Got back the same day. A trip of 800km in 1 day without any trouble and i really enjoyed it.
