I'm keen on this subject. I have a 2200 TC set of carbs sitting here (a gift from a UK friend) but I face the concept of cable operated carbs on a rod system car. If you figure out how to make this modification, I'd love to know.
Hi Eric,
Assuming that you have the 2200 inlet manifold and carbs you are halfway there
,
you will need the cable, cable to rod relay and the longer throttle rod, (all of this is standard on the 2200TC),
The only "mod" that i made was to drill a small hole in the relay pivot to accomodate the kickdowm cable (Hermione was originally a 2000sc auto),....

when i first fitted the TC head i used the HD8 set up,but i could never get an even idle,at first i thought it was down to the experimental head porting that i carried out,the front carb ran a weaker mixture than the rear and i spent days trying to get the carbs to run right
I think the main reason was the jet diaphrams had gone hard and wouldn't flex enough to allow the jets to move.
The carbs are now HIF6's, which in my opinion are a lot easier to keep in tune.
