20th anniversary

Yes it might be a rare one.
There has never been any rust and never any backseat passengers.
Date of build is 23 March 1976 and for some reason it were built with V8-type front swivel and brake calipers.
The only non original part is the reservoir for the brake/clutch fluid.

That looks superb, congratulations. No doubt the swivels and calipers were simply down to parts availability, especially that late in the production run. The paintwork is worthy of note if it is all original as the paint process used on that year's production has a terrible reputation, thus making yours even more remarkable.

Yes the use of thermoplastic paint and that all panels were mounted on the base unit when painted did create some problems.
I know the car from new as the first owner was a friend of my father so I have all documentation of what has been done over the years.
Only the front valance have been repainted.
On a close look there are some minor imperfections in the paintwork but in all the paintwork is remarkable.
Maybe because the car always has been stored indoors.

Astonishing. Never seen dual brake Servos. Is the nodding dog original too?
Those were normally only fitted to North American or Swedish market cars. As for the V8 uprights and calipers, there’s a lot of theories that they were using left over runout stocks of parts on the last cars.

The parts catalogue shows a lot of improvements that took place between 1975 and 76 and quite a lot of formally different parts were standardised ,mostly to the V8 spec, from about 74 onwards.
