    Thanks for your warm and supportive words. I love the shape of Rovers of this period and already surprised at how spritely they are. I do not have its post war history but understand it was passed to family members and 2 of its owners had it for over 40 years between them.

    Help. I am having difficulty getting the gears. The gear stick is really stiff and the gates hard to locate. Is it possible to adjust the selector? Also, though I have improved tick over and enriched the mixture when the car is hot it is difficult to restart unless I leave it for 5 mins or more...
