I will be attending the show, and if there is a Club stand I will stop by and say hi!

    2000 SC Exhaust

Thanks, I'd appreciate that. I've been looking around online, but all I've seen so far are complete exhaust systems, and I'd rather just get the two components I need.

    BL Rally - Peterborough - Sunday 2/08/09

I had a good look at your car Vaultsman; really a credit to you, shame you weren't around at the time to chat! Hopefully next year my 2000 will be back on the road and I'll be able to bring it along to get the numbers up!

    2000 SC Exhaust

After sitting in the garage for a bit too long, the exhaust has essentially disintegrated on my P6. Does anyone know where I might locate a replacement exhaust manifold and front downpipe for the 2000 SC engine? Much appreciated.

    Rover 75 engines

Correct, that's when it started, but they made those changes as a result of cost cutting. It did improve their competitiveness, reducing losses to £77 million in 2003 from £800m in 1999, but at a cost to the quality and reputation of the cars.

    Rover 75 engines

MG Rover had a cost cutting program called 'Project Drive' from 2001 onwards which progressively cheapened their products. It started with 'minor' things like decals and wood trim, and by 2005 ended up with the removal of rust/sound proofing and the aforementioned spare wheel. You can't really...

    BL Rally - Peterborough - Sunday 2/08/09

I'd be more than happy to bring my car to the SD1 stand, but I think I shall be paying on the day as usual. This is all dependant on it passing it's MOT this week however!

    Rover 75 engines

As 2Diesels has said, the 75 has it's faults but so do a lot of modern cars; with the right maintainance they can be very good. From experience the 1.8 is the main one to avoid, yes you can fit better head gaskets but it's still very underpowered for the size of car. The KV6s are much better...

    Wanted: Door/Window Rubbers

Scott's Old Auto Rubber has none in stock. Havn't contacted Pierre yet, as I couldn't get through last time I tried.

    Wanted: Exhaust Gaskets

Thanks for the pointers. I'll ring up that Rover specialist tomorrow and see if they've got the bits in stock.

    Wanted: Exhaust Gaskets

Hello, anyone know where I can get the the exhaust manifold gasket and the manifold to downpipe gasket for the 2000 engine from? Thanks.

    Hi

You can't even get on most classic policies until you're 21, or so I've found. Welcome btw.

    BL Rally - Peterborough - Sunday 2/08/09

Aye, I don't think there's even a thread for it over there. Last year there were four cars on the AR stand, a pretty pitiful turn out.

    BL Rally - Peterborough - Sunday 2/08/09

Is anybody from here going to this? I attended last year in my 2000, and I hope to do so again, but I'm currently at a loss for a stand to park at. Wasn't very many P6's there last year.

tip to get cheaper insurance. :)

Very interesting. I've had similar experiences with other cars where the insurance company offers different quotes for different trim levels, etc.

    Wanted: Door/Window Rubbers

Thanks. I see he has it listed as "Front Quarter Vent Seal". If it turns out there aren't any available from the UK, I shall order from here.

Building my double garage at last!

Space is always a problem. I'm sure the neighbours don't like me too much with all the 'projects' dotted around the street!

    Wanted: Door/Window Rubbers

Not sure of the exact part name, but I'm after the rubber seals on the doors around the front quarterlights. They're absolutley in shreds on my car. Any help sourcing one would be great. Thanks.

    Hello from Bognor Regis!

Thanks! We've restored it, but I think using it a bit more would do it the most good. It's only done 500 miles the past decade but I took it to BL Rally at Peterborough last year and it didn't miss a beat so I'm hoping to do the same this year!

    Hello from Bognor Regis!

Hello, thought I'd finally get round to joining this forum! I'm already member of the club, and my P6 has been in our family for the last 30 years. It was originally my great-grandfathers, bought when he retired as he'd always aspired to own a Rover, and it's been passed down the generations...
