Is anybody from here going to this?

I attended last year in my 2000, and I hope to do so again, but I'm currently at a loss for a stand to park at.

Wasn't very many P6's there last year.
 
Aye, I don't think there's even a thread for it over there.

Last year there were four cars on the AR stand, a pretty pitiful turn out.

It's a shame, because the year before there was quite a good A-R.co.uk (as it then was) stand.
 
hi guys
i've organised a stand for the sd1 club here, as for the last few years. you'd be more than welcome to come and display with us.
 
Brilliant, i'd like a ride out. Have just mopped my car and it is gleaming. Am I allowed near the SD1 stand? I would love to meet Tim Leech and Tommy the Train from Cornwall :D

erm....i can see that causing some problems mate.
not from my point of view, i'd like nothing more than to have your TP engined car on the SD1 stand. you have more reason to be on there than other P6s!
however, considering the public slagging off you've given both the SD1 and the club on this forum, i can't very well invite you to display on the club stand, much as i'd like to see your car on it.
also, much as i personally admire the work you've done on your car, i can't be seen to promote a car that uses an engine ripped from an SD1. :roll:
i hope you'll let me have a look at your conversion though, really keen to have a good look at it. car looks beautiful 8)

Thanks for the offer mate..sounds a good plan! :) I think I might get myself along to this rally, rather than a small local Leicester show that's on.
 
Yes damage repaired, new nsr wing, bootlid and valence. "New" bumper and bumper iron, excellent chrome, but very minor crease, but ok until I find a new one. Finding a decent nsr wing that was rot free was a saga, must have done over 300 miles looking for one. All ok now cheers Dave.

Kris, was only pulling your leg over SD1 stand, I'm away that weekend. As for SD1 slagging, as I have stated in triplicate, I dont like them personally, I feel they are an inferior car to earlier Rovers, but would rather see them on the roads than the vast majority of modern foreign cars. As far as the SD1 club members are concerned, whatever I say will be misconstrued and twisted as I was criticised so heavily about breaking a TP Vitesse.... I'll say no more as we have been here before.

that's a pity mate, i was hoping to have a gander at it. never mind.
i know your feelings about the SD1, many p6 and earlier rover owners feel the same. i can't argue against the fact that if they'd been built a bit better, there might be more than 600 left on the road! i've had a p6 and seven sd1s, and to me they're all great cars compared to the boring stuff we get nowadays. anyway, i digress. maybe i'll see your (paprika?) beast at a show sometime.

i take it you're booking in are you? if so, be sure to mention you're with the sd1 club.
if you're just turning up on the day, it'll cost a bit more. i presume they do take entries on the day?

I've sent my form off to Sara today, mentioning your stand. So, all being well, I'll see you on Sunday.

I'd be more than happy to bring my car to the SD1 stand, but I think I shall be paying on the day as usual.

This is all dependant on it passing it's MOT this week however!
 
I think we should all buy an SD1 on here and have a meet over Arena Essex :twisted:

I jest, before I am reported once again to the SD1 club for 100 lines and community service!
 
Unfortionately I will no longer be able to make it in my P6 now as due to exhaust problems I havn't been able to get it MOT'd.

There's always next year though.... :)

That's a shame..good luck with getting it sorted.

Looks like the rain might hold off tomorrow..I'll try and get some decent pics to post!
